My Weight Loss Journey

Week 1

Hi it’s Jeanette, here is my first update on how the Ideal Weight loss program is going. First I want to thank everyone for their words of encouragement, although it is the easiest thing I have ever done. I am so excited already; at my first weight in I’ve lost 6lbs. My clothes are getting a bit baggy (extra skin??), my energy level is growing every day and my acid reflux is gone. So on week 2 everything is going great.

Week 2

I have completed 2 weeks and have already lost 10lbs. Needless to say, I am thrilled. I have never lost weight so fast in my life and I feel great. This protocol gets easier and easier. One of my favorite snacks is a giant chocolate chip cookie that is part of the program.

Please tune in next week for my 3rd week results.

It's a blast watching my body change!

Week 3

I am so happy that I am able to cook my own dinner on this program. Last night I made the most delicious ham and leek roll ups with a salad and of course had my favorite choclate chip cookie for dessert. Life is good! By the way I am losing an average of 4lbs a week.

Talk to you next week

Week 4

So, it has been 1 month and I have lost a total of 15lbs. I feel great!! My clothes are getting bigger, I need a belt to hold my pants up. Still trying new products from Ideal Protein and I still haven't found one I don't like. Maria and I talk on a regualr basice about meal ideas. This weekend I am going to try a recipe for Cabbage Rolls that Maria and I have come up with. If all goes well I will share the recipe with everyone to try. Have a great week  Jeanette

Week 5&6

I have been on the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Program for only 6 weeks and I have lost 20 1/2 glorious pounds! The time is flying by and I don't feel deprived or hungry.

Well, the cabbage rolls I made were great. I used my Nana's recipe and substituted cauliflower for the rice, added some chili powder, cumin and hot sauce. Yummy! i am learning that I can have wonderful, healthy meals that don't make me gain weight. Maria and I brainstorm every week and come up with new ideas.

I would like to thank everyone who has been sending me encouraging and supportive emails. To those who are wondering, yes I am still having my giant chocolate chip cookie for my snack. I love them.

Have a great week.  Jeanette

Week 7&8

News flash!!

I am half way to my goal! This really gives me even more motivation to reach my goal.

I tried the chocolate drink and it's like drinking hot, creamy chocolate. I can't believe that this is part of my weight loss plan.

I was hoping to be able to prolong buying new clothes but all my clothes are too big. I had a buy a few new things to come to work or else I will have to wear supenders to hold up my pants!

It is unbelievable that I have come so far in such a short time and I'm having fun.

Week 9&10

Nice weather's here, feeling great, looking fabulous. To date I have lost 30lbs, I have got 20lbs to go. Went on the motorcycle on the weekend and was quite excited that my motorcycle jacket, that has always been very tight, was quite loose. Had to adjust the side straps to make it tighter, couldn't believe how thinner I looked. It was great!! I have a pair of black capris that I bought from Paris years ago, "I call them my goal pants" i am going to try them on this weekend and see if they fit, everyone wish me lick and I will let you know how it goes. Have a great week.

Week 11&12

I hope everyone had a great two weeks. I tried on my skinny pants and for the first time in 5 years they fit (a little snug), in about 2 weeks they should fit even better and I could not be happier. I thought it would never happen!

I've found a new love. I have been loyal and devoted to my Chocolate Chip Cookies but I tried another snack, the Apple Cinnamon Puffs.  They taste like cinnamon dougnuts, sooo good. Sorry Chocolate Chip Cookie I think you have been replaced.

I am looking forward to Easter this yeaar because I can have real chocolate snacks and lose weight.

Life is good!

Weeks 13,14 & 15

Well another few weeks have gone by and I have lost another 5 1/2lbs. I am so excited with all the weight I have lost with Ideal Protein.  I finally went shopping for some new clothes and I was elated with the sizes that I bought, my jeans are a size 10, yoga pants and tops are now a small.  Never in my life did I ever think that I would fir into those sizes.  To see where I started which was size 13-14/ large- x large to a size 10/ small gives me even more incentive to keep going and to keepit off.  Not only have I lost 40lbs on this journey but I have lost inches as well, I have lost 6 1/2inch from my hips, 7 1/2inch from my waist and 6 inch from my bust.  If anyone wants to shed some extra inches and pounds this is the way to do it.  Maria has been so supportive, has lots of great meal ideas and she is very motivational, she really goes above and beyond for us. There really is no excuse for everyone who wants to get healthier to do Ideal Protein.  Oh I almost forgot I have 12lbs to go Yeah me!!!

Hope everyone has a great week.

Weeks 16 & 17

Well it looks like summer is around the corner, and I have just another 10lbs to go to hit my goal.

It's really starting to sink in for me what a transformation I have done since starting Ideal Protein in January. People don't even recognize me and have to do a double take.  It feels great!  My schedule has gotten a lot busier but it has been east to stick to the program even when I am not at home. My life has changed so much already with Ideal Protein, I can't wait to see what happens when I am in the maintenance stage of it!!

Have a great week everyone   Jeanette

Weeks 18 & 19

I hope that everyone had a great long weekend. Mine was pretty busy with work and soaking up the glorious sunshine. I am down to my last 7 lbs to achieve my goal. This should only take 2 more weeks then I will start the maintenance phase. I am now 134 lbs and a size 6. Remember I started at 183lbs. I am very excited and thrilled with my new body!

On Friday May 25, 2012 I will be walking along Lakeshore Rd. in downtown Oakville between 12:00 and 2:00pm in a Wedding Dress as a promotion for Ideal Protein. The theme is “Lose Weight for you Wedding”.  Anyone can easily lose 15lbs. in 4-5 weeks.

Whether you are getting married or just want to look and feel great this program is the best!

Weeks 21 & 22

I hope everyone has had a good couple of weeks.  Mine has been both great and emotional. With all the hot humid weather I am usally stuck indoors because of my Asthma, however; for the first time since I was a child I am able to go out and enjoy the hot summer.  With my weight loss my health has changed so drastically, I am still in shock over the changes.  As a child I really didn't get to enjoy my summer vacation due to the humidity.  I woould have to stay inside while all of my friends were outside playing.  I never thought that, as an adult, that I would be able to enjoy the things that everyone takes for granted.  I fully intend to make up for loss time!  I went for a bike ride, on a hot humid day.  I actually cried I was so overwhelmed with my new freedom.

It's almost time to go shopping; I am super excited to go and have been looking at all the nice clothes and waiting patiently to buy.  I am 3lbs to my goal and already a size 6.  In my last blog I said I was going to be doing a walk downtown Oakville to promote losing weight for your wedding, dressed as a bride but unfortunately I was rained out.  Our new date is Friday June 8th.  Next week I will be on Level 2 and starting the maintenance part of my journey.

Have a great week.

Weeks 23 & 24

Another 2 weeks have gone by and summer is officially here.  I am now on maintenance and my first week went very well I lost another pound which brings me to 128lbs, my goal was 125lbs tose last 2 pounds will be a cake walk.  I have noticed lots of changes to my way of thinking about food which will help me keep my sexy body!!

I find myself not wanting to indulge with friends and family like I use to.  Dissecting a menu is now habit to when eating out.  Having a "treat" now and agian doesn't hurt me but I only have a small amount because that is a I want.  My life is great!

Week 25 & 26

Another couple of weeks have gone by and I love the Ideal Protein program, I am in the maintenace phase now and I am still losing every week.  I have hit my goal of 125lbs and as of this week I have lost another pound which brings me down to 124lbs.  I can't say enough about how easy this program is and the foos is delicious.  I don't need to have Ideal Protein for lunch anymore but it is so convenient and tastes so good that I find myself having it anyway.  It fits in with my busy life!

I finally went shopping for a new wardrobe and it was the most fun I have had shopping for clothes in a long time.  The options were endless, and I came home with my first pair of skinny jeans! Very exciting.

I am enjoying my summer and I hopw you are as well.

Week 27, 28 & 29

It has been a few weeks since my last entry, sorry but better late than never.  I went on a mini vacation to Niagara for my boyfriend's birthday, and had a great time.  I ate what I wanted drank for the first time in 6 months (that was fun)!  When I cam back and erighed in I had lost two pounds, I couldn't believe it!  I am now 2 months into maintenance and most weeks I lose a pound; other weeks I stay the same as I was the last week.  You must all be thinking that I must be counting every calorie, analyze everything I am eating but you are wrond.  I am just living my life!

Ideal Protein is a super easy program to do as I have said before, but the things that I have learnt from the program have changed my life in such a big way, I really thought that maintaining the weight loss would be the most challenging part of it. but it isn't.  I live my life like before just with a new relationship with food.  Don't get me wrong I still like some drinks, pizza, a hamburger and fries but not all the time.  It feels really great!  I did hit my goal of weighing 125lbs, I actually passed it right now I weigh 120lbs so that is a total of 63lbs lost.

My birthday is on Aug 17 anf for my birthday I treated myself to a really cute black and white dress that I am going to wear to my party, dont' worry pictures to come, and yes I will also be treating myself to a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting yum!!

Have a great week!

September 28, 2012

I hope that everyone had a great summer, I know I did.  My new body and new confidence has made it one of the best summers of my life.  In my last update I was heading out to celebrate my birthday, well I had a great time and I looked fabulous in my little retro dress, so much so, that Maria decided to use it for my new after picture, I will be posting it very soon, I promise!

Some great things are happening at the studio in the next couple of weeks.  We are throwing a party and Ideal Protein Party to be exact.  It is on October 23rd at the Studio beginning at 12:00 noon.  It promises to be the party of the year with lots to see, do and taste.  Ideal Protein Cordon Bleu Chef Dan Verati will be here cooking and signing his cookbook.  You will also be able to meet some of the people who have achieved there weight loss goals and hear their stories.  Remember it's a party so bring as many friends as you want.  I will be there as well and would love to meet all the people who have been following my journey.  Hope to see you there.

Oh I almost forgot I weighed in this week at 119lbs and to date I have lost 10 inches each from my bust, hips and mid section, I feel great !  I believe that everyone needs to feel this good.

Till next time
